Love Is - Interpretation

(2-7-2019 - this needs updated. I've grown to understand some things since the this was written years ago. I will do so eventually. Until then, this is what I once knew, which is still true in part)

Love, as I have begun to understand it. The basis of all things. The awakening. The truth.

------------

1 Corinthians 13

Same song, different chorus

1 If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I can say things that others can understand, but have not experienced them, I am only parroting meaninglessly. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I can believe that it is possible, but don’t know what that thing is yet, I cannot comprehend it.

3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[b] but do not have love, I gain nothing. If I bend over backwards for others, if I give my all, only because I want recognition, I will not be satisfied. 4 Love is patient, love is kind. 5 It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 6 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

7 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 8 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love is pure. It has no agendas, motives, intentions. There are no sides.

9 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. Love cannot be untrue. But calculations, explanations, and facts, will no longer be needed. 10 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. For these are only ways of conveying our limited understanding and testing our theories. But love cannot be defined through man-made models. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. I did not get it before, but now I cannot unknow it. I was blind to it before, now I can never replace the veil. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. For now we can only understand ourselves from within, then we will see ourselves through each other. We will find the missing parts of our self in each other. 13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. You must believe in it, you must want it, and most importantly you must embody it wholly, surrender to it completely.

Perhaps I should write a book.

It would only be as exciting through my eyes though.

As I am seeing it. As I have watched it. As I have anticipated it. As it unfolds.

I was going to use tonight to ponder intentional influence on the future. How I can make my dreams a reality just by believing that they will come true. By living as if they are a certainty. To believe this without doubt.

I know this to be a truth. I just haven’t had adequate time to fully explore how this ties in with similar occurrences. Such as untainted memories. Ones that you cannot ever look directly at. I believe that they too are linked to this. How, I have yet to determine as well.

But if I feel it. If I believe it. I radiate it. As long as I am radiating it, I never have to mention it. It is picked up on. In fact, to mention it would destroy it, and it could not exist at all. It is my most precious, my most sheltered secret. My future. And I cant tell anyone, although they will live what I yearn to say. Because if they don’t remember for themselves, they will not understand. And if they are told something that they cannot understand, it will disrupt the pattern. So all I can hope is that somewhere deep inside they remember how wonderful our future really is via the past.

As another future topic, I need to examine opposites and pairs. How far they can exist from one another, and how close they can come together. The force driving them, and the similarities that they are defaulted into seemingly by coincidence. ]
