...Or are we Dancer?
Lately, in times of silence, I have noticed that I have Vanessa Carlton - Ordinary Day looping in the back of my head.
Which random, okay, but I've def had worse.
But when I think of Ordinary Day, I am reminded of the taste of razzles. The smell of the blue ones in particular.
Because one summer, in high school, 13 Going on 30 had come out, and I was inspired to eat a packet of Razzles outside while sitting on a rock, on a gravel road, after a long run... while my red Discman blasted this song on repeat.
How often do my past experiences affect my perception of the present moment, cascading upon each other, undetected?
Is this song, playing in the present, merely reminding me of the past? Or did something conjure up seemingly unrelated memories of the past, drawing this song into my present thoughts?
...
Am I really just an accumulation of everything that has ever happened to me?
